I had a ginormous toothache last Friday but I couldn't isolate which tooth it was that hurt. I called my dentist and asked if I could go and visit her but she was only free at 6pm, at which time I had to be in Makati for my class. I was prescribed anitbiotics and painkillers good for 5 days.
Unfortunately, despite the meds the pain didn't really disappear, it just came in waves and I haven't had a decent night's sleep in days and ... the right side of my face has started to swell. The pain has become unbearable so I asked my dentist if I could visit her today. I suspected that I would get a root canal treatment as soon as I got to the clinic. The good news is ... I finally isolated the tooth that was infected.

Marife told me that we would need to do a root canal treatment to get the pus to drain. It took a while. The tooth hurt so much that despite getting the usual dosage of anesthesia it still hurt. I had to get dosed several more times before the anesthetic took effect.
My activities are limited for now. To prevent swelling I have to limit my physical activities and not lift anything heavy ... I guess that means I'm taking a sabbatical on bowling. Hope I can get back into the swing of things in a week.
